Ever since the Aim Higher project has been running, we have been able to help several homeless and economically inactive clients gain confidence in themselves and to explore the job market. This had been achieved by providing Employability workshops with a focus on IT and English classes.
The Aim Higher project is funded by the European Social Fund and the London Councils Grants Committee. FRF works with Tower Hamlets and Enfield residents who are unemployed or economically inactive to transition from unemployment to sustained jobs or education. We support them by providing IT courses, English workshops; employability workshops such as preparing for interviews, creating CVs, and cover letters. We offer one-to-one information, advice and guidance to help participants with issues they might have with regards to employability. We also help participants to access work experience, voluntary work, full/part time vacancies or education. To be eligible for this project you have to be aged 19 or over, unemployed for over 6 months if aged between (19-24) or over 12 months (25 and over) or economically inactive.
